Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 May 2026
Introduction & Service Description
Welcome to Deployer, a server provisioning and software deployment service operated by Michał Wołodkiewicz Quipu. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Deployer service, available at its domain. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Deployer service allows you to automatically provision software (such as Apache2, MySQL, WordPress, and Prestashop) on servers that you own or have the right to control. You provide server credentials and configuration details; we execute the installation via SSH and then anonymise all sensitive data from our systems.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service. Your continued use of Deployer constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any modifications we make to them in the future.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using Deployer, you confirm that: (i) you have read and understood these Terms; (ii) you are at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement; (iii) you have the authority to bind yourself or any entity on whose behalf you are accessing the service; and (iv) your use of the service is lawful in your jurisdiction.
Service Description & Scope
Deployer is a best-effort software provisioning tool. The service allows you to:
- Connect to servers you own or control via SSH
- Request installation of predefined software templates
- View provisioning task history and status
- Request automatic anonymisation of credentials after task completion
The service is provided on an "as-is" basis. We perform provisioning tasks with care and apply automatic retries, but we make no guarantees that any provisioning task will succeed, that your server will reach a desired state, or that the service will be error-free. See "Disclaimer of Warranties" below for full details.
Credentials & Data Handling
When you use Deployer, you provide sensitive information to us:
- Server IP address, SSH port, and SSH credentials (username, password, or private key)
- Domain names and SSL certificate material
- Application-specific configuration and credentials (e.g., database passwords, administrator details)
By providing this information, you grant us a limited license to access your servers solely for the purpose of executing the provisioning tasks you have requested. You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to share these credentials and that your server owner or administrator has authorised your use of Deployer.
Important: We strongly recommend that you change all server credentials after provisioning completes, even though we delete this data from our systems immediately. Transmitting credentials over the internet, even over HTTPS, carries inherent risk. Never reuse the credentials provided to Deployer for other purposes.
For detailed information on how we handle, encrypt, and anonymise your data, please see our Privacy Policy. Upon task completion or failure, all credentials and sensitive configuration data are overwritten with random values and can no longer be attributed to you.
Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use Deployer for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose. Specifically, you must not:
- Use the service to provision servers for illegal activities, including but not limited to malware distribution, spam, DDOS attacks, or phishing
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or gain unauthorised access to Deployer or its infrastructure
- Use the service to conduct activities that breach the laws of the European Union or the country where your server is located
- Use the service to provision servers in ways that violate the terms of your hosting provider
- Attempt to hide your identity or use the service to facilitate fraud, impersonation, or deception
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to Deployer if we believe you have violated these terms. We are not obligated to provide advance notice or detailed explanations for such action.
We reserve the right to report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement, regulatory authorities, hosting providers, or other relevant third parties where required or permitted by applicable law.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining secure account credentials (email and password)
- Keeping your account information accurate and up to date
- Securing your servers and SSH credentials before and after provisioning
- Creating backups of your server data before initiating provisioning tasks
- Monitoring provisioning task status and reviewing the final state of your server
- Reporting any security breaches or misuse of your account immediately
You acknowledge that Deployer is a tool for server administration and provisioning. You are responsible for the security, legality, and compliance of your servers and any software we help you install. We do not monitor, control, or endorse the content or activities on servers you provision using Deployer.
Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
This section is critical and applies to your use of Deployer. By using the service, you accept these limitations.
No Warranty
Deployer is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Warranty that the service will achieve any particular result or objective
- Warranty that any provisioning task will succeed or complete without errors
- Warranty that your server will reach the desired state after provisioning
- Warranty that any software we help install will function as intended
- Warranty that third-party tools (such as Ansible) or open-source software used in provisioning will work correctly
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all other warranties, whether statutory, express, implied or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
What Happens if Provisioning Fails
Provisioning tasks may fail for many reasons beyond our control:
- Network connectivity issues between our systems and your server
- Incompatible server OS, kernel version, or package manager
- Insufficient disk space or server resources
- Conflicting pre-existing software or configurations
- Hosting provider restrictions or firewall rules
- Errors in third-party provisioning tools or open-source software
If a task fails or results in an incomplete or broken server state, you are solely responsible for:
- Reverting your server to its initial state
- Recovering from any partial installation or data loss
- Debugging and fixing the server yourself or with your hosting provider
We make no commitment to assist with recovery, provide support in fixing broken installations, or offer refunds for failed tasks. Deployer is provided on a best-effort basis; task failure is a known risk of using the service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Michał Wołodkiewicz Quipu and Deployer shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
- Loss or corruption of data on your server
- Downtime or unavailability of your server or applications
- Damages arising from failed provisioning tasks or incomplete installations
- Any damages arising from third-party software, tools, or services (including but not limited to Ansible, package managers, or open-source libraries)
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with Deployer, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the fees you have paid us in the last 12 months. If you have not paid any fees, our total liability shall not exceed €100.
These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if any remedy provided herein fails its essential purpose.
Third-Party Software & Tools
Deployer uses third-party provisioning tools such as Ansible, along with operating system package managers and open-source libraries, to execute provisioning tasks. We do not maintain these tools and have no control over:
- Whether they are updated or maintained by their respective maintainers
- Whether they contain bugs, security vulnerabilities, or compatibility issues
- Whether they will continue to work with future versions of operating systems
- Their licensing terms or intellectual property restrictions
We are not responsible for any failures, errors, or damages caused by third-party software. We make no warranty as to the functionality, compatibility, or security of any third-party tool. Use of Deployer implies your acceptance of these risks. If you require guaranteed support or warranties for provisioning, you should use professional system administration services instead.
Data Loss & Backups
Provisioning tasks may result in data loss on your server due to:
- Overwriting or replacing existing files or configurations
- Failed installations that corrupt or modify your server state
- Database initialisation or reset as part of software installation
You are entirely responsible for creating and maintaining backups of your server before using Deployer. We do not create backups of your servers and make no guarantees about recovery. Any data loss caused by a provisioning task is your responsibility to mitigate through your own backup procedures.
Security & Data Protection
All communication with Deployer's backend is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. However, transmitting server credentials over any network carries inherent security risks. We strongly recommend:
- Changing all server credentials immediately after provisioning completes
- Never using the same credentials for Deployer that you use elsewhere
- Enabling SSH key authentication instead of password authentication
- Monitoring your servers for unauthorised access after provisioning
While we implement field-level encryption for stored credentials and anonymise all data immediately after task completion, no security measure is absolute. In the unlikely event of a security breach, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law (see our Privacy Policy for breach notification procedures).
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the account management interface. Upon deletion, your email address and account data will be removed from our active systems immediately. Historical provisioning task metadata will be retained but severed from your identity — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if: (i) we believe you have violated these Terms; (ii) you engage in illegal activities; (iii) we are required to do so by law; or (iv) we discontinue the Deployer service entirely. In such cases, we will attempt to notify you by email when feasible, but are not obligated to do so.
Upon account termination for any reason, you remain liable for any damages caused by your use of Deployer up to the point of termination.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or operational practices. Material changes will be communicated to you by email, and the date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
Your continued use of Deployer after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and the European Union, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Polish courts for any dispute arising out of or relating to Deployer or these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of either party to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision or any other provision herein.
